ABOUT

Georgie Bean carved out her early career in the glossy world of design and lifestyle magazines, such as Vogue Living, Marie Claire Lifestyle, and then spent 4 years living and working in Amsterdam for Wallpaper* magazine as the Benelux Editor. It was a wild time to be in publishing as this was before the days of social media and digitilisation. Days were spent scoping out new stories, pitching ideas, sourcing new product design, working in studios on conceptual editorial shoots, writing content on a new product/ bar/restaurant/ designer/ house or garden to accompany the gorgeous images set for publication. Eventually though, working in publishing became challenging. With smaller budgets, word counts and attention spans, the digital age had well and truly arrived. And so I moved “across” into the industries I knew as well as the publishing one. Styling homes, renovating, and designing green spaces feeds my creative “need”, and making a space work aesthetically and functionally is my gig. I absolutely love it.
